Outside of My Scrubs: We March On
I'm sure some of y'all are probably tired of me pushing the oppressed's agenda for equal rights, but I will always advocate for equality. Even outside of Black History Month, we have keep preaching our agenda. I styled this look for a fun day/night out, while still repping your pride.
I purchased this shirt from ServedFresh.com, a site that specializes in producing clothing that celebrates black pride and hip hop culture. What's even better is that it is black owned!
Now I will admit, they are a very small business, so it's going to take some time to get your order; but honestly, I love unique pieces, (especially when it highlights my people's accomplishments, beauty, and culture), so the wait was worth it.
Adding a simple white pant brightens any look, especially on the brink of spring weather! It also gave my outfit a fresh, clean look when up against the more grungy leather jacket and plaid tie-around-waist shirt.
I get so many questions regarding this jacket! I know, it's pretty fabulous; #Modesty. It's from Zara; however, I purchased this jacket about 1-2 years ago. A link to a very similar jacket is listed below... just keep scrolling little grasshopper!
I tied a Paul Bunyan plaid shirt around my waist for some texture to the outfit. It also makes the outfit more casual, while the heels help to class it out, helping you transition from day to night.
Just like our predecessors, keep supporting us while spreading love to all. Keep believing, keep fighting the good fight....keep marching on. 'Til next time!
